Nice tips. I have limited my social networking to Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and my blog airynothings.com

I was trying to keep up with WAY too much noise.

I am originally from Louisville (Go Cards) and found your blog through a mutual aquaintance.

Nice job!!

Nice post Aaron. I think #4 should be adopted selectively. Scoring an early comment on posts that adds to the conversation and really adds value to readers or provokes questions seems to be better from a pure traffic perspective.

Alternatively, selectively deciding what to comment on does allow your thoughts to incubate and allows you to focus on your strengths and compose really amazing responses.

Great new design. Very nice.

Great advice. I recently discovered Twitter. Twitter can be a great tool to expand your network and knowledge, but it can also be a huge wasted of time. It's good set set boundaries and goals for your use of social networks. (BTW, I found this website via Twitter).

I have found that college grads and young people lack the computer skills that I am looking for in the workplace. I am looking for VB scripting, SQL scripting, Excel functions & formulaes, Excel & Word macros, report writing, and so on. The goal in the workplace is to utilize technology to make a routine processes more efficient.

You point is wisely demonstrate with your musing.. or Cicero's _de Finibus musing...(translation) There is no one who loves pain itself, who seeks after it and wants to have it, simply because it is pain. Therefore im not stupid for not knowing the tech world. I just simply leave my self open to pain if I try to learn toooooo much.

I agree. As an employer who is hiring lots of new college graduates, I often ask them about their website usage. Most of them visit Facebook daily, but otherwise, have a surprisingly small online footprint. They don't use any other web 2.0 sites, and aren't the "digital natives" the way we often hear them labeled.
