This is me on top of Lions Head across from the famous Table Mountain in 2009. When I was a sophomore in High School I dreamed of living in Africa. I watched Endless Summer 1 & 2 excessively and loved what I saw in South Africa. In 2009, just a year after getting married to @nicholemarshall, we travelled to Cape Town and lived right in the center of the city for 7 months. We absolutely fell in love. The culture, people, music, coffee, wine, art, weather, vistas, oceans and mountains blew us away. We knew we had to figure out how to stay. Four long years later we are finally making our way back. We couldn’t be more thrilled to be fulfilling life long dreams. Many assume that living life and serving God is primarily about obligation and duty. I don’t believe that. I believe that the greatest way to honor our creator is to enjoy him. This world, our salvation, our lives, are all a gift. For us, moving to Cape Town is an act of worship, enjoying him and his gifts deeply and inspiring others to do the same. Enjoy!

We found a short-term furnished place in Hout Bay. Though after spotting this photo on google image search just now I’m thinking forever… Lol. Interesting fact about that bay right there; if you have ever seen pictures of jumping great white sharks, many of those were taken here… Who wants to visit for a swim?!

A bit if news for all of you about our family. We are moving to Cape Town on May 20th. You can read the details here tinyurl.com/capetownmove in a nutshell Nichole and have been dreaming of living there for years and finally after a failed attempt in 2009 we are giving it another go. Looking forward to bring all you instagrammers with us!
